Specifics of Nursing Care for the Elderly after Total Hip Arthroplasty

Abstract:

JANA JANKOVIČOVÁ. Specifika ošetřovatelské péče o seniora po totální endoprotéze kyčelního kloubu. Vysoká škola zdravotnická, o.p.s. Stupeň kvalifikace: Bakalář (Bc.) Vedoucí práce: PhDr. Karolina Moravcová, PhD., Praha 2023. 70 stran. V této bakalářské práci jsme zpracovali specifika ošetřovatelské péče o pacienta v seniorském věku po provedení výkonu totální endoprotézy kyčelního kloubu. Uvedené téma jsme při jeho zpracování rozdělili na část teoretickou a praktickou. V části teoretické jsme popsali charakteristiku totální endoprotézy kyčelního kloubu, dále pak počátky jejího vývoje, indikace i kontraindikace k provedení kyčelní náhrady, typy endoprotéz a také moderní trendy. Dále jsme v této části popsali problematiku předoperační přípravy a pooperační péče a také rehabilitaci, kterou jsme specificky zaměřili na péči o seniora. V praktické části jsme zpracovali kazuistiku konkrétní pacientky po provedené operaci totální endoprotézy kyčelního kloubu. Pro zpracování kazuistiky jsme použili model Marjory Gordon. Dále jsme, pro stanovení ošetřovatelských diagnóz, postupovali dle NANDA International, 11. vydání 2018–2020. V této bakalářské práci jsme si stanovili za cíl zejména charakterizovat totální endoprotézu kyčelního kloubu, dále typy kloubních náhrad, indikace k výkonu, kontraindikace a komplikace po výkonu takové operace, a to vše s využitím odborné literatury. Dále bylo naším cílem specifikovat ošetřovatelskou péči o seniora po totální endoprotéze kyčelního kloubu, a taktéž zpracovat kazuistiku seniorky po implantaci totální endoprotézy pro artrózu kyčelního kloubu. Výstupem práce je i naše doporučení pro praxi.

JANA JANKOVIČOVÁ. Specifics of nursing care for the elderly after total hip arthroplasty. Vysoká škola zdravotnická, o.p.s. Degree of qualification: Bachelor (Bc.) Supervisor: PhDr. Karolina Moravcová, PhD., Prague 2023. 70 pages. In this bachelor's thesis, we elaborated the specifics of nursing care for an elderly patient after total hip arthroplasty. The above mentioned topic was divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, we described the characteristics of total hip arthroplasty, the beginnings of its development, indications and contraindications for hip replacement, as well as types of arthroplasty and modern trends. Furthermore, in this section we described the issue of pre-operative preparation and post-operative care, as well as rehabilitation, which we specifically focused on the care of the elderly. In the practical part, we processed the case report of a specific female patient after a total hip arthroplasty. We used the Marjory Gordon model to process the case report. Furthermore, we proceeded according to NANDA International, 11th edition 2018–2020. In this bachelor's thesis, we set ourselves the goal of characterizing the total arthroplasty of the hip joint, as well as the types of joint replacements, indications for the procedure, contraindications, and complications after such an operation, this all with the use of specialized literature. Furthermore, our goal was to specify the nursing care of an elderly person after a total arthroplasty of the hip joint, as well as to process a case report of an elderly woman after implantation of a total arthroplasty for hip joint arthrosis. The output of the work is also our recommendation for practice.
