Leadership and learning culture in the social care

Abstract:

Stárnutí populace je v České republice, s ohledem na predikci zvyšování podílu seniorů až do roku 2050, aktuálním tématem. Tento kvantitativní výzkum analyzuje vztah mezi uplatňovaným stylem vedení a kulturou učení a dále vyhodnocuje rozdíly mezi veřejným a soukromým vlastníkem v sociálním sektoru. V rámci výzkumu bylo osloveno 148 zaměstnanců dvou pražských domovů pro seniory. Data byla získávána prostřednictvím dotazníků DLOQ, CLQ a následně analyzována pomocí deskriptivní statistiky, t-testů, korelačního koeficientu a lineární regrese. Tato práce poskytuje poznatky pro efektivní řízení a rozvoj organizací, s ohledem na rostoucí výzvy spojené se stárnutím populace.

Abstract:

Population ageing is a current issue in the Czech Republic due to the predicted increase in the proportion of seniors by 2050. This quantitative research analyses the relationship between the leadership style used and the learning culture and also assesses the differences between public and private ownership in the social care. 148 employees of two Prague homes for the elderly were interviewed as part of the research. Data were collected through DLOQ, CLQ questionnaires and then analysed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, correlation coefficient and linear regression. This work-provides insights for effective leadership and development of organizations in light of the growing problems associated with an aging population.
