Healthy Lifestyle Education in a Contemporary Kindergarten

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce "Výchova ke zdravému životnímu stylu v současné mateřské škole" pojednává o rozdílu ve výživě a pohybové aktivitě dětí mezi běžnou mateřskou školou a školou zaměřenou na podporu zdraví. V teoretické části bakalářské práce je vysvětlován pojem "výchova ke zdraví" a zdravý životní styl. Práce se dále zabývá faktory poškozujícími zdraví, postoji dětí ke zdraví a také tzv. "Zdravou školou". Cílem praktické části bylo zjistit rozdíly ve výživě, stravování a pohybové aktivitě i přístupem rodičů dětí ke zdravému životnímu stylu. Použity byly dvě výzkumné metody: Dotazník připravený pro rodiče, z kterého bylo zjištěno, že většina rodičů z obou mateřských škol se snaží vést své děti ke správnému stravování i k pohybu, a dále interview s ředitelkami dvou mateřských škol, z kterých vyplynulo, že mateřská škola podporující zdraví má zdravěji sestavený jídelníček, zatímco běžná mateřská škola je lépe vybavena pro pohyb dětí.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis "Healthy Lifestyle Education in a Contemporary Kindergarten" has been dealing with a difference in a diet and physical activity between a common and a health supporting kindergarten. In the theoretical part of the thesis the concepts "health education" and "healthy lifestyle" have been explained. Furthermore, the work has concerned with health damaging factors, children´s attitude to health and also so-called "Healthy School". The aim of the practical part was to find out differences in nutrition, diet, physical activity and parents' position on healthy lifestyle. Two research methods have been used - a questionnaire prepared for parents and interviews with two headmistresses of both kindergartens. The results from the questionnaire have shown that most parents from both kindergartens try to lead their children to a healthy diet and physical activity. The conclusion from the interviews shows that the health supporting kindergarten uses a healthier menu whereas the common kindergarten is better equipped for children's physical activities.
