Professional and human demands on workers in social services when working with clients with serious manifestations of problem behavior

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku komplexní charakteristiky profesních a lidských nároků z pohledu pracovníků v sociálních službách, kteří poskytují nepřetržitou asistenci klientům se závažnými projevy problémového chování. Hlavním cílem práce je právě ucelená definice výše zmíněných nároků jakožto nezbytných faktorů, jimiž by měl pracovník v přímé péči s těmito klienty disponovat. Diplomová práce obsahuje dvě části – teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část představuje nastínění sociálního systému České republiky, pracovníky v sociálních službách, interpretaci problémového chování a jeho formy, nebo oblast duševní hygieny asistentů v přímé péči. Praktická část se věnuje vlastnímu výzkumnému projektu formou dotazníkového šetření, díky kterému vyšla najevo obecná definice nezbytných a adekvátních požadavků či nároků na pracovníky v sociálních službách s touto cílovou skupinou.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the issue of complex characterization of professional and human claims from the perspective of social service workers who provide continuous assistance to clients with serious manifestations of problem behavior. The main aim of the work is precisely a comprehensive definition of the above-mentioned entitlements, as necessary factors for a direct care worker to have with those clients. The thesis contains two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is the outline of the social system of the Czech Republic, workers in social services, the interpretation of problem behavior and its form, or the area of mental hygiene of assistants in direct care. The practical part is devoted to its own research project in the form of a questionnaire survey, which revealed a general definition of necessary and adequate requirements or entitlements for social service workers with this target group.
