Education through art as a creative way of knowledge. Perception, imagination, creativity as a modus of transcendence.

Abstract:

Ústředním tématem disertační práce je poznávání světa zprostředkovávané výtvarným uměním a výtvarnou tvorbou. Tento tvůrčí způsob poznávání zážitkem uměleckého procesu jako celku, obsažený i termínem výchova uměním, je v práci nahlížen z hlediska tří specifických (poznávacích) procesů – percepce, imaginace a kreativity, ústících v transcendentní přesah tohoto poznání, manifestovaný rozšířenou schopností přístupu k sobě samému i celku světa. Konkrétněji je pak tento fenomén přiblížen na pedagogickém díle některých vyučujících tvůrců (výtvarných umělců a výtvarných pedagogů) a tvořivých učitelů. Ve druhé části práce vychází z vlastní pedagogické praxe autorky a ve třetím oddílu z vlastních uskutečněných projektů. V rámci základní hypotézy, že umění je transparencí transcendence zde nahlížíme imaginaci jako funkční prostředek k zpřítomnění transcendence a tvořivost jako její permanentní zpřítomňování. Disertační práce postupně zachycuje kontinuální vývoj autorčina doktorského studia a její jednotlivé oddíly dokumentují a odrážejí i hlavní publikační činnost v jeho průběhu, završenou fakultním výzkumným grantem MUNI/41/021/08, jenž se z polohy teoretické publikační práce přesunul do aktivní roviny iniciované odborné monografie se zapojením zahraničních kolegů. Závěrečné shrnutí v poslední kapitole disertační práce Transcendence vychází z individuálně pojednaných autorských příspěvků, zpracovávajících námět monografie, jímž je tvůrčí integrita výtvarníka – učitele a přibližují aspekty osobnosti, které tvoří kontinuitu jejího tvůrčího projevu; zkoumané téma bylo porovnáváno diskursem této disertační práce.

Abstract:

Dissertation thesis aims on the knowing of the world which is mediated by visual art and artistic creation. This creative way of learning experience through the whole artistic process (also contained in the term Education through Art) is seen in this work in terms of three specific (cognitive) processes - perception, imagination and creativity which overlap to the transcendental knowledge - which manifests itself as the extended capabilities of self-knowing and as the cognition of whole world. More specifically, this phenomenon is approached to in the edifying work of some teachers - artists (artists and art teachers) and creative teachers. Second part of this thesis is based on authors own teaching practice and the third section of this work emanates her own realized projects. In the frame of the main assumption of this dissertation thesis - that art is transparency of transcendence – we are thinking of imagination as of a functional means of making the transcendence and creativity present as its permanent approach. Dissertation thesis captures the continuous development of the author's doctoral studies, and its sections document and reflect her major publication activity during the course as well, completed by the research grant MUNI/41/021/08 which has shifted from the theoretical work to the active level materialized in the monograph involving foreign colleagues. The final summary in the last chapter of this dissertation thesis Transcendence is based on individual contributions contained in the main theme of the monograph: creative artist´s - teacher´s integrity and close aspects of their personality which makes the continuity of their creative expression - examined topic was compared to the discourse of this dissertation thesis.
