Destination Management Organizations at the Regional Level in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá certifikovanými oblastními organizacemi destinačního managementu v Česku. Cílem práce je charakterizovat a klasifikovat jednotlivé certifikované organizace destinačního managementu na oblastní úrovni v České republice. Dílčím cílem práce je zhodnotit kvalitu webových stránek oblastních společností. Pro naplnění cílů byla využita obsahová analýza webů a shluková analýza typu k-průměr. Teoretická část práce se zabývá destinačním managementem, destinačním marketingem a systémem Kategorizace a certifikace v České republice. Praktická část se zabývá výsledky obou analýz. Organizace jsou klasifikovány podle stanovených kritérií do tří skupin na základě shlukové analýzy a jsou identifikovány nejvýznamnější organizace destinačního managementu. Webové stránky jsou vyhodnoceny dle atraktivnosti a uživatelské funkčnosti, informační hodnoty a celkové správy webových stránek.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with certified regional destination management organisations in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to characterize and classify individual certified destination management organizations at the regional level in the Czech Republic. A sub-objective of the thesis is to evaluate the quality of the websites of the regional companies. Content analysis of websites and k-means cluster analysis were used to fulfil the objectives. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with destination management, destination marketing and the system of categorization and certification in the Czech Republic. The practical part deals with the results of both analyses. Organizations are classified according to the set criteria into three groups based on cluster analysis and the most important destination management organizations are identified. Websites are evaluated according to attractiveness and user functionality, information value and overall website management.
