Strategic Analysis of the Financial Company’s External Environment

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zhodnotit externí okolí finanční společnosti a zformulovat doporučení pro existující strategii prostřednictvím strategických nástrojů. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena do dvou částí: teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části jsou definovány pojmy strategického managementu a strategie a popsány strategické nástroje pro analýzu externího okolí firmy. Teoretická část se věnuje definici finančních institucí a tvorby jejich hodnoty. V praktické části jsou aplikovány zvolené nástroje na příkladu konkrétní finanční společnosti. Těmito nástroji jsou PEST analýza, Porterův model pěti sil a SWOT analýza. Na základě všech provedených analýz jsou v závěru předložena konkrétní strategická doporučení pro podnik.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the external environment of the financial company and formulate recommendations for the existing strategy through strategic tools. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the concepts of strategic management and strategy, then describes the strategic tools for the analysis of the external environment of the company. Also, the theoretical part deals with the definition of financial institutions and the creation of their value. In the practical part, the selected tools for the analyzing of the external environment are applied on the example of a particular financial company. These tools are PEST analysis, Porter's five forces model and SWOT analysis. Based on all the analysis carried out, a specific strategic recommendation for the company is presented in the conclusion.
