Kmenová buňka je definována jako buňka, která má schopnost sebeobnovy a diferenciace. Tyto buňky mohou tvořit dceřiné buňky, které jsou totožné s mateřskými buňkami, obnovovat samu sebe a produkovat potomstvo, které se může diferenciovat do jiných buněk. Stem cell is defined as a cell that has the capacity to self - renew as well as the ability to generate differentiated cells. These cells are able to generate daughter cells that are identical to the mother cells, to renew themselves, and to produce offspring that can differentiate into other cells.
