Structure of support measures for pupils with visual disabilities in high school

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou vzdělávání osob se zrakovým postižením na středních školách v České republice. Hlavním předmětem výzkumu jsou podpůrná opatření, která mohou být daným osobám poskytnuta v průběhu studia, během přijímacího řízení a absolventských nebo jiných zkoušek. Teoretická část této práce se zabývá nejdříve obecně zrakovými vadami, jejich dělením, etiologií vzniku a dopady na zrakové funkce. Dále rozpracovává problematiku střední školy a strukturu souvisejícího systému poradenství. Zabývá se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami osob se zrakovým postižením a člení tyto osoby podle míry potřebné podpory. Třetí kapitola detailně rozpracovává konkrétní podobu podpůrných opatření v jednotlivých oblastech studia. Praktická část této bakalářské práce je věnována kvalitativními výzkumu v reálné praxi. Je zkoumána funkčnost podpůrných opatření, rozsah ve kterém jsou poskytována, dále kompetentnost pracovníků školy a spokojenost konkrétních dvou studentů s podmínkami vzdělávání a kvalitou poskytovaných podpůrných opatření.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of educating of people with visual impairment at high schools in the Czech Republic. The main subject of the research is the extent supportive measures that can be provided to the affected people during their studies, during the admission procedure and during graduation or other examinations. The theoretical part of this work deals primarily with visual impairments, their classification, aetiology of their origin and their impacts on visual functions. It also discusses the issues of high school in itself and the structure of the related counselling system. It addresses the special educational needs of visually impaired people and sorts these people according to the level of support they need. The third chapter elaborates in detail on the concrete form of supportive measures in individual fields of study. The practical part of this bachelor thesis is devoted to qualitative research in actual practice. The effectivity of the supportive measures, the extent to which they are provided, the competence of the school staff and the contentment of the particular two students with the conditions of education and the quality of the supportive measures provided are examined.
