The composition of the portfolio of General Health Insurance Company of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce ?Skladba pojistného kmene Všeobecné zdravotní pojišťovny ČR? analyzuje problematiku změny počtu pojištěnců ve VZP. Cílem práce je pomocí marketingových nástrojů navrhnout strategie vedoucí ke zvětšení objemu pojistného kmene VZP. Počet pojištěnců, se kterým pojišťovny disponují, patří k hlavním ukazatelům jejich stability na trhu a je základním zdrojem finančních prostředků. Práce se skládá ze čtyř kapitol. První a druhá část popisuje systém zdravotního pojišťění v České republice, pojistný kmen včetně jeho úhrady do tohoto systému a zmiňuje všeobecné nástroje k získávání pojištěnců. Třetí část se zabývá analýzou úbytku pojištěnců ve VZP a popisuje marketingové aktivity, které VZP vyvíjí ke zvyšování jejich počtu. V závěru práce jsou shrnuty a zhodnoceny stávající marketingové programy včetně mých doporučení a návrhů, které by mohly zmírnit či zastavit snižování objemu pojistného kmene VZP.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis "The structure of the portfolio of the General Health Insurance Company (VZP) in the Czech Republic" analyzes the problems of changing the number of the insured in VZP. The goal of the thesis is using marketing tools to design strategies to increase the portfolio of VZP. The number of the insured which the insurance companies have, is one of the main indicators of their stability in the market and is the primary source of their financial device. The thesis consists of four chapters. The first and the second part describes the system of health insurance in the Czech Republic, the insurance portfolio including its payments to this system and identifies the general tools to increase the number of the insured. The third part analyzes the decline of the insured in VZP and describes the marketing activities that VZP has been developing to increase their number. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes and evaluates existing marketing programmes and includes my recommendations and concepts that could reduce or stop the decline of VZP portfolio.
