Needles as the passive samplers for the air quality monitoring
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na metody pasivního vzorkování ovzduší pomocí jehličí. Z teoretického hlediska shrnuje poznatky spjaté s morfologií a fyziologií jehlic a chemickými vlastnostmi jejich povrchu, které jsou důvodem akumulace perzistentních organických polutantů v epikutikulárních voscích. This bachelor thesis was focused on the application of conifer needles as an effective tool for the ambient air monitoring. Detailed information on conifer needles` morphology and physiology is summarized, and a mechanism of the persistent organic pollutant (POP) accumulation in their epicuticular waxes is explained.
