The assessment of the enterprise investment portfolio investing into renewable energy sources with the focus on biogas

Abstract:

Disertační práce se věnuje problematice hodnocení investičního portfolia podniků investujících do obnovitelných zdrojů energie se zaměřením na bioplyn. Hlavním cílem disertační práce je vytvořit model úspěšného investování podniků do bioplynových stanic. Disertační práce je rozdělena do šesti kapitol. V první části je provedena analýza současného stavu poznání v oblasti podnikových investic a bioplynových stanic. Na teoretický základ navazuje v kapitole číslo čtyři vlastní výzkum. Nejprve byly zformulovány výzkumné otázky a vědecké hypotézy, které byly prostřednictvím zvolené výzkumné metodiky, tj. dotazníkového šetření, následně potvrzeny či vyvráceny. V rámci disertační práce bylo stanoveno 9 vědeckých hypotéz a 14 výzkumných otázek. Tyto výzkumné otázky byly prostřednictvím dotazníků poloţeny 313 podnikům v České republice, které investovaly do výstavby zemědělské bioplynové stanice a zároveň jsou evidovány Českou bioplynovou asociací. Celková úspěšnost dotazníkového šetření byla 44 %. Na základě údajů získaných prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření byl vytvořen model úspěšného investování podniků do bioplynových stanic. Model definuje ?ideální? pojetí investice do bioplynové stanice z hlediska investičních nákladů a financování investice (poměr cizích a vlastních zdrojů, pouţití dotace, bankovního úvěru a vlastních zdrojů). Model uvádí ekonomické ukazatele jako návratnost, ţivotnost a výnosnost investice. Definuje také nejčastější rizika, která jsou spojována s realizací investice do bioplynové stanice. Dalším výstupem disertační práce je vlastní software pro nové investory v oblasti bioplynových stanic. Software vytvořený v programovém prostředí Delphi můţe pomoci novým investorům reálně zhodnotit zamýšlenou investici. Software můţe investorům pomoci s rozhodnutím, zda danou investici do bioplynové stanice realizovat či nikoliv.

Abstract:

The doctoral thesis deals with the issue of enterprise investment portfolio assessment while investing into renewable energy sources with the focus on biogas. The main goal of the thesis is to create a model of successful enterprise investment into biogas stations. The thesis is structured into six chapters. In the first part, the analysis of the current state of knowledge in the area of enterprise investments and biogas stations has been conducted. My own research connects to the theoretical basis in the chapter four. At first, research questions and scientific hypotheses were formulated, which were, using chosen research methodology, i.e. survey, confirmed or refuted. As part of the thesis, 9 research hypothesis and 14 research questions were designated. These research questions were by means of a survey given to 313 companies in the Czech Republic, which invested into the construction of agricultural biogas station and are at the same time registered with the Czech biogas association. The overall success of the survey was 44 %. Based on the information received through survey, a model of successful enterprise investment into biogas stations was created. The model defines ?ideal? conception of the investment into biogas station from the viewpoint of investment costs and investment financing (the proportion of own and external funds, the use of subsidy, bank loans and self-financing). The model presents economic indicators such as return, lifespan and revenues of the investment. It also defines the most common risks connected to the realization of the investment into biogas station. The other outcome of the thesis is respective software for new investors in the area of biogas stations. The software created in the programming language Delphi can help new investors to assess the intended investment. The software can help potential investors with the decision whether to realize the investment into biogas station or not.
