Manifestations and consequences of behavior disorders at primary school pupils

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zabývám problémy odborné, školské i rodičovské veřejnosti, které se v posledních několika letech v České republice dostaly, v souvislosti s dětmi a žáky s poruchami chování a emocí, do popředí zájmu. Dochází k zásadním koncepčním změnám strategií v přístupu jak k žákům se sociálním znevýhodněním, tak i k žákům v riziku poruch chování, nebo žáků a dětí s rozvinutou poruchou emocí a chování. Současně s tím souvisí i revize celého systému speciálního a základního školství, která je motivována snahou zakomponovat do těchto změn principy inklusivního vzdělávání. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na klasifikační strukturu poruch chování, modelové přístupy a vývojové koncepty etopedie, a také na současné teorie a principy diagnostiky poruch chování a emocí. Posun teorie a praxe směrem k inkluzi je v práci prezentován v kapitole edukační strategie, včetně přístupů k informované intervenci. Jádrem práce je výzkumná část, vycházející z informací studie, která probíhala v letech 2011 až 2012 na osmi základních školách Ústeckého kraje. Záměrem teoretické části je především přiblížit projevy poruch emocí a chování, které se u našich žáků vyskytují, ukázat, jak vypadá práce s těmito žáky ve školním prostředí a také jaká je úroveň spolupráce škol s rodiči i jinými institucemi při řešení problémů žáků s poruchami emocí a chování. Výzkum mapoval i další faktory, které ovlivňují nejen edukaci, ale i způsob života těchto dětí, např. existence klíčové osoby, hobby, vztahy k sociálnímu okolí apod. Popsal výskyt projevů SPU u žáků s poruchami chování a emocí a ukazuje také, jaká je prognóza dalšího vývoje takových žáků. Ze závěrů výzkumné části jsem vytvořil model typického žáka/dítěte s poruchou emocí a chování a zpracoval doporučení pro pedagogické pracovníky a rodiče, která navrhují, jak s takovým dítětem pracovat, jak ho motivovat a vést.

Abstract:

In this disseration I deal with the issues of expert, school and parental public, which came to forth in the Czech Republic in the last few years, in connection with kids and pupils with behavioral and emotional disorders. There are fundamental conceptual changes of strategies in attitude to pupils with social disadvantage as well as to pupils in risk of behaviour disorders or to pupils and kids with developed emotional and behavioral disorder. Simultaneously, this relates to the revision of the whole system of a special and elementary education, which is motivated by an effort to add into these changes the principles of the inclusiv education. The theoretical part of this disseration is focused on an assesment structure of the behavioral disorders, model admissions and developmental concepts of etopedia , and also on current theories and principles of diagnostics of the behavioral and emotional disorders. The theory and praxis shift towards the inclusion is presented in this dissertation in the chapter Educational strategy, including the accesses to an informed intervention. The research part is a core of this work; it is based on a study that took place in 2011 and 2012 in eight elementary schools in Ústí nad Labem Region. The theoretical part was intedned primarily to bring closer insights to demonstrations of the emotional and behavioral disorders, that occur in our pupils, to show, how the work with these pupils in a school environment looks like and also what is the level of collaboration of the schools with parents and different institutes in solving problems of the pupils with emotional and behavioral disorders. The research works surveyed even another factors influencing not just education, but also these children’s lifestyle, e.g. the key-person’s existence, hobbies, relation to a social environment etc. They described the occurence of a learning disability within pupils with behavioral and emotional disorders and also showed, what is the futher development‘s prognosis of such pupils. Out of the conclusions of the research part of the work. I made a typical pupil/kid-with-an-emotional and-behavioral-disorder‘s model and composed a recommendation for pedagogical workers and parents, which proposes, how to work with such a kid and how to motivate and guide him/her.
