Group of countries BRIC, their analysis and development in the early 21st century.

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je analýza skupiny BRIC a její vývoj na počátku 21. století. Brazílie, Rusko, Indie a Čína v současnosti patří do skupiny, která se nazývá emerging markets. Jsou to ekonomiky, které se svou dynamikou přibližují vyspělým zemím, ačkoliv se stále potýkají s dílčími problémy rozvojové světa. Jejich ekonomický růst byl na počátku 21. století impozantní. V roce 2001 vydala investiční banka Goldman Sachs studii, ve které predikuje rostoucí význam těchto čtyř ekonomik. Do roku 2050 mají být společně s USA a Japonskem šesti největšími ekonomikami světa. Potenciál tohoto seskupení je obrovský. Brazílie je světovou zemědělskou velmocí, Rusko surovinovým gigantem, Indie jedničkou na trhu IT a Čína má největší zásobárnu pracovní síly na světě. Důležitou podmínkou jejich vývoje bude rozsah vzájemné spolupráce. První oficiální náznak užší kooperace byl učiněn na summitu BRIC v ruském Jekatěrinburgu v červnu 2009.

Abstract:

Main target of this graduation theses is analysis of the BRIC countries and their development at the beginning of the 21st century. Brasil, India, Russia and China currently belong to the group, which is called emerging markets. This is group of economies, which are dynamic and close to advanced economies. However they have still few characters of developing world. They had impressive economic growth at the beginning of the 21st century. In the year 2001 investment bank Goldman Sachs has released prognosis that shows growing importance of these four economies. By the year 2050 they will have been in the group of the six biggest economies in the world, with Japan and USA. The potential of the BRIC countries is huge. Brasil is world agricultural superpower, Russia is superpower of raw materials, India is the most significant country in the IT world market, China has the biggest reservoir of the labour force. Their development will strongly depend on their interrelationship. The first official suggestion of narrower cooperation was done on summit of the BRIC countries in Yekaterinburg on June 2009.
