Information support for liquidity management of international corporations

Abstract:

Řízení likvidity nadnárodního uskupení je velice komplexní činností, pro jejíž úspěšné vykonávání je zapotřebí kvalitního systému informací. Cílem této disertační práce je navrhnout systém informační podpory vyhovující potřebám řízení likvidity konkrétního typu nadnárodního uskupení, a to primárně z pozice mateřské společnosti. V práci bylo využito především vědecké metody konstruktivního výzkumného přístupu. Na základě propojení teoretických konceptů manažerského účetnictví, reportingu, manažerského informačního systému a principů řízení likvidity, vnoření aspektu nadnárodního uskupení se svými specifiky a následném propojení všech těchto faktorů je sestaven informační systém určený pro otázky řízení likvidity. Výstupy systému jsou přizpůsobeny třem odlišným skupinám uživatelů, jejichž role, rozhodovací úlohy a požadavky na systém jsou v průběhu výzkumu identifikovány. Předložená disertační práce rovněž přidává příspěvek do diskuse k otázkám centralizace řízení likvidity uskupení, a také otevírá diskusi k definicím dosud ustálených pojmů a jejich roli v turbulentním podnikovém prostředí.

Abstract:

In order to achieve the goals of liquidity management in an international corporation a quality information system is required. The aim of this dissertation is to design an information system which supports the liquidity management functions of a specific business type from the position of the parent company. As a main research method, constructive approach was applied. Based on the connection of theoretical concepts of management accounting, reporting, management information systems and principles of liquidity management as well as the aspect of international corporation with its specifics, an information system for liquidity management questions was designed. The outputs of the system are adapted to three different groups of users, whose roles, decision-making tasks and system requirements are identified during the research. This dissertation also aims to add a contribution to the discussion on the issues of centralization of group liquidity management. It also aims to open a discussion on the definitions of previously established terms and their role in a turbulent corporate environment.
