Evaluation of the economic progress and conception of a financial management strategy of the company Metalurgie Rumburk s.r.o.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vyhodnocení dosavadního finančního řízení podniku Metalurgie Rumburk s.r.o. a jeho výsledků od roku 2008 do roku 2014 za použití metod strategické a finanční analýzy, následná identifikace silných a slabých stránek tohoto finančního řízení a v neposlední řadě také formulace základní finanční strategie. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. První je část teoretická, která popisuje teoretický základ a metody strategické a finanční analýzy a pojmů s nimi souvisejícími. Ve druhé, praktické, části práce jsou poznatky popsané v teoretické části v praxi aplikovány na zkoumaný podnik a vyhodnoceny jejich výsledky s důrazem na příčinné souvislosti vývoje. Nejpodstatnější zjištění všech použitých analýz jsou shrnuty v závěru práce, kde na jejich základě definuji silné a slabé stránky finančního řízení podniku. Finanční strategie je navržena takovým způsobem, aby využívala silných stránek podniku a aby eliminovala stránky slabé spolu s jejich důsledky. Některé z hlavních závěrů této práce jsou např. to, že podnik byl schopný překonat silné působení celosvětové ekonomické krize nebo že poslední z analyzovaných roků byl pro něj, co se ekonomických výsledků týče, nejúspěšnější z celého období.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the financial management of the company Metalurgie Rumburk s.r.o. and its results in the term 2008 to 2014 using the methods of strategy and financial analysis, to identify its strenghts and weaknesses and last but not least to design a basic financial strategy based on the knowlegde gained from all the analyses made. The first part of this thesis is theoretic and it describes the theoretical base and methods of strategy and financial analysis and the terms connected to them. In the second part of the thesis which is practical the mentioned methods will be applied to the analyzed company and their results will be evaluated with an emphasis on identifying the causes of any major changes in the progress. The most important results will be summarized in the conclusion of this thesis where I will state the strenghts and weaknesses and based on them create a basic financial strategy. Some of the conclusions are for example how the company overcame the world financial crises and the fact that the last analyzed year was the most succesfull for them.
