The Project of an Application of Modern Methods of Cost Management in the Selected Company

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je vypracování projektu zaměřeného na implementaci Activity-Based Costing ve společnosti X&Y, s. r. o., jakožto jedné z moderních metod řízení nákladů. V analytické části práce je pro dosažení cíle práce provedena analýza současného stavu řízení nákladů. Analýza je rozdělena do dvou oblastí. Nejdříve je věnován prostor analýze nákladů z pohledu jejich klasifikace v letech 2019-2023 a následně je provedena analýza současného kalkulačního systému. Praktická část je podložena odbornými literárními prameny v části teoretické. Velký důraz je v praktické části kladen zejména na vypracovaný projekt, jenž obsahuje kompletní model Activity-Based Costing včetně srovnání s výsledky současného kalkulačního systému. Vzhledem k vyšší přesnosti ABC modelu i jeho dalším benefitům jsou vypracovány návrhy na jeho komplexní zavedení v podniku. Projekt doplňuje také nákladová, časová a riziková analýza. Na základě dosažených výsledků jsou vypracována závěrečná doporučení pro podnik týkající se metody ABC, řízení nákladů i samotných nákladových kalkulací.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to develop a project focused on implementing Activity-Based Costing in the company X&Y s.r.o. as one of the modern cost management methods. To achieve the objective of the thesis, the current state of cost management is analyzed in the analytical part of the thesis. The analysis of the current state of cost management is divided into two areas. First, space is devoted to the analysis of costs in terms of their classification in 2019-2023, and then the analysis of the current costing system is carried out. The practical part is supported by literature sources in the theoretical part. In particular, the practical part places great emphasis on the developed project, which includes a complete model of Activity-Based Costing and a comparison with the results of the current costing system. Due to the higher accuracy of the ABC model and its other benefits, proposals for its comprehensive implementation in the company are developed. The project is also complemented by a cost, time, and risk analysis. On the basis of the results obtained, final recommendations for the company are made concerning the ABC method, cost management, and cost calculation itself.
