The possibilities of individual planning in taking care of seniors with dementia in in-resident services

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá způsoby, jakými lze podle pracovníků a managementu přistupovat k individuálnímu plánování průběhu sociální služby v pobytových zařízeních specializovaných na péči o seniory s demencí. Cílem práce je najít odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku: „Jaké přístupy volí pracovníci a management pobytových zařízení v souvislosti s uplatňováním individuálního plánování péče o seniory s demencí v kontextu potřeb těchto klientů?“ Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou, metodologickou a interpretační. V teoretické části se věnuji vymezení hlavních pojmů týkajících se tématu práce a souvisejících teoretických konceptů. Metodologická část popisuje strategii výzkumu, techniky sběru dat, operacionalizaci dílčích výzkumných otázek a objasňuje průběh přípravy a realizace výzkumu. Interpretační část práce představuje zjištění získaná výzkumem a poskytuje odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the possibilitties of individual planning in social services in residential care of elderly people with dementia. The aim of the thesis is to answer the main question of the research: „Which accesses do the workers and management choose to enforce the principles of individual planning in taking care of elderly people with dementia in the context of their needs?“ The thesis has three parts – theoretical, methodological and interpretative. The theoretical part defines the key concepts regarding to the topic of the thesis and brings related theories. Methodological part defines a strategy of the research, the techniques of data collection, an operationalization of partial research questions and clarifies the process of research making. Interpretative part shows research results and provides the answer to the main question of the research.
