Influence of assisted contacts with the biological family on the psyche of a child in a foster care

Abstract:

Ve své práci jsem se zabývala kontaktem dítěte v pěstounské péči s členy své biologické rodiny, konkrétně pak kontaktem asistovaným. Asistovaný kontakt je takový kontakt, který je veden v bezpečném prostředí speciálně proškoleným odborníkem, nejčastěji pak klíčovým sociálním pracovníkem dítěte. Tímto je zajištěn průběh kontaktu v zájmu dítěte. Cílem mé práce je zjistit, jaký vliv mají asistované kontakty s biologickou rodinou na psychiku dítěte v pěstounské péči. V teoretické části specifikuji základní pojmy spojené s výzkumnou otázkou. Zabývám se správným vývojem dítěte v rodině, náhradní rodinnou péčí jako takovou, pěstounskou péčí a asistovanými kontakty. Ve výzkumné části prezentuji výsledky kvalitativní evaluace, kterou jsem provedla pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s klíčovými sociálními pracovníky pěstounských rodin.

Abstract:

In my work I dealt with the contact between the child in foster care and his/her biological family members, specifically assisted contact. Assisted contact is contact, which is conducted by special trained professionals in a safe environment, more often by a child`s key social worker. In this way is provided the course of contact in the child's interest. The aim of my work is to ascertain what influence have the assisted contacts with the biological family on the child`s psyche in a foster care. In the theoretical part I specify the basic concepts related to the research question. I deal with the proper development of the child in the family, substitute parental care, foster care and assisted contacts. In the research part I present the results of the qualitative evaluation, which I conducted through the semi-structured interviews with the key social workers of the foster families.
