Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Individualismus: Fenomén sociální pedagogiky“ pojednává o fenoménu individualismu v interpersonálním kontextu jako rozšířeném jevu v dnešní postmoderní společnosti a snaží se na tento jev nahlížet z perspektivy sociální pedagogiky. Zabývá se vymezením individualismu jako sociálního jevu, jeho historickými souvislostmi a definuje hlavní pojmy s tímto tématem související. Dále se věnuje souvislostí individualismu jako lidského postoje a formy chování a snaží se vymezit roli sociálního pedagoga v kontextu dnešní doby. Uvádím zde osobní zkušenosti a akcentuji problém individualismu jakožto možného dilematu sociální pedagoga jako profesionála a zároveň i z pohledu individualistů - klientů. V poslední části je rozpracován individualismus jako životní styl, včetně možných důvodů pro takovou volbu, a zabývá se mimo jiné tématem individualismu jako hodnoty dnešní společnosti, resp. jaké formy může individualismus jako hodnota mít. Tato práce se snaží o širší náhled na tuto problematiku z pohledu sociální kritiky. Jedná se o teoretickou práci. Jako empirické podklady zde slouží pouze mé osobní zkušenosti jako studentky sociální pedagogiky.

Abstract:

The master thesis “Individualism: phenomenon of Social Education“ deals with the phenomenon of individualism in the interpersonal context as a widespread phenomenon in postmodern society and it is trying to view this phenomenon from an view of social education. The thesis deals with the definition of individualism as a social phenomenon and with its historical context and defines the main concepts and terms related to this topic. It also discusses the context of individualism as a human attitude and form of behavior and is trying to specify the role of social educator in today’s world. I mention personal experiences and I am trying to accentuate the problem of individualism as a possible dilemma of a social educator – practitioner and individualists - clients. The last part of the thesis develops the topic of individualism as a lifestyle, possible reasons for such a choice, and it is trying to resolve the topic of individualism as a value of today's society, i.e. what forms may individualism have as a value. This work seeks a broader view on this issue from the perspective of social criticism. This is a theoretical work. As an empirical basis I used only my personal experience as a student of social education.
