Using the CAPM model in investing into shares

Abstract:

Diplomová práce popisuje Burzu cenných papírů Praha, jednotlivé investiční nástroje a základní modely teorie portfolia (Markowitzův model, jednoduchý selektivní model, CAPM a APT). V praktické části jsou představeny všechny společnosti a je aplikován model CAPM na vytvořená portfolia složená z blue chip akcií pražské burzy. Na závěr je realizováno investiční rozhodnutí a provedeno hodnocení úspěšnosti modelu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis describes the Prague Stock Exchange, individual investment tools and the basic models of the portfolio theory (Markowitz portfolio selection, single index model, CAPM and APT). In the practical part, all companies are presented and the CAPM model is applied to the created portfolios consisting in blue chip shares of the Prague Stock Exchange. Finally, an investment decision is made and evaluation of the model success is carried out.
