Práce se snaží zachytit a popsat současný stav problematiky ústavní péče o dítě a sociálně-právní ochrany dětí v České republice. Smyslem mé práce je nastínit dosavadní přístupy k ústavní a sociální péči o děti a porovnat je s dnešní situací, dále hlouběji proniknout do systému institucionální péče a poukázat, co je třeba na soudobém stavu změnit, příp. vylepšit. The dominant theme of this work is today's problems of constitutional care of children (especially of the smallest children {--} to the age of three) in the Czech republic. I allude to historical development of social and legal protection of children and I compare it with present conditions.
