Initial public offering on the Prague stock exchange.

Abstract:

V diplomové práci ?Veřejný úpis akcií (IPO) na Burze cenných papírů Praha (BCPP)? jsem nejprve stručně popsal vývoj trhu cenných papírů, jeho význam, účastníky a funkce. Poté jsem se zaměřil na základní segmentaci trhu a hlavní instrumenty, které se na ní obchodují. V další části jsem klasifikoval hlavní možnosti financování podniku a přešel k vymezení pojmu IPO, jeho výhody, nevýhody a obecný postup upisování. Poté jsem krátce popsal zástupce českého burzovního trhu ? BCPP, klasifikoval obchodní systémy a rozdělil jednotlivé burzovní trhy. Další částí je podrobný rozbor čtyř hlavních fází IPO potřebných na BCPP. V závěru jsem se věnoval uskutečněným emisím na BCPP v posledních pěti letech. Jedná se o společnosti AAA Auto, NWR, VGP a Fortuna. Po krátkém představení a charakteristice emise jsem přešel k hodnocení úspěšnosti IPO. Úspěšnost jsem hodnotil z pohledu emitenta, investora a BCPP. Z pohledu emitenta byly všechny emise úspěšné. Z investorského hlediska byl výsledek hodnocený zcela opačně, protože u ani jedné emise není v dnešní době kurz akcií vyšší než byl emisní kurz. Z pohledu burzy byla nejúspěšnější emise společnosti NWR.

Abstract:

The thesis "Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Prague Stock Exchange (PSE)" first describes the development of the stock market, its importance and functions. Next part is focused on the basic market segmentation and main instruments, which are traded on it. Then there are classified main options for corporate financing and defined IPO, its advantages, disadvantages and general procedure of the underwriting. Next section describes the representative of the PSE, the business systems and stock markets. Another part is aimed at analyses of four major phases of the IPO, which are needed to implement the IPO on the PSE. The last part analyses emissions on the PSE in the last five years. The companies are AAA Auto, NWR, VGP and Fortuna. Next is evaluated the success of the IPO from the perspective of the issuer, investor and PSE. The emissions were all successful from perspective of the issuer. The investor´s point of view is evaluated completely different, because the share price is underpriced at present. The most successful IPO was NWR from the perspective of the exchange.
