Analysis of the projects realized in Operational programme Transport

Abstract:

Česká republika po vstupu do Evropské unie v roce 2004 získala nové možnosti pro čerpání finančních prostředků ze strukturálních fondů EU na rozvoj zaostalých regionů v rámci tzv. kohezní politiky. Jednou z oblastí kohezní politiky je podpora dopravy a dopravní infrastruktury v souvislosti s ekonomickým rozvojem území. Rozhodující roli pro čerpání podpory má Operační program Doprava, jehož prostřednictvím získáváme finanční prostředky na podporu konkrétních dopravních staveb na území České republiky. V teoretické části této práce je představena problematika kohezní politiky EU a její navázání na oblast dopravy v České republice. V praktické části je provedena analýza projektů realizovaných v rámci Operačního programu Doprava. V závěru jsou představena opatření, která by umožnila zlepšení implementace projektů a zefektivnila financování dopravní infrastruktury v příštích letech.

Abstract:

After joining the European union in the 2004, Czech republic has got new opportunities to obtain financial resources from structural funds for regional development within cohesion policy. Cohesion policy aims on supporting the transport an its infrastructure relating to economic development of a territory. Operational programme Transport has a decisive role in obtaining financial support for realizing particular projects of the transport infrastructure in the Czech republic. In the theoretical part of the thesis, there is presented the a purpose of cohesion policy and its application on transport sector in Czech republic, while practical part of the thesis is focused on analysis of projects realized within the Operational programme Transport. In the end, there are defined suggestions necessary for improving the implementation of pro-jects and effective financing of the transport infrastructure in the coming years.
