The role of the nurse in the education of patients with tracheostomy cannula

Abstract:

V teoretické části diplomové práce se zabývám oblastí edukace a edukačního procesu u pacientů s TSK. Charakterizuji roli sestry edukátorky, specifika komunikace s pacienty s tracheostomickou kanylou, edukační cíle, didaktické metody, pomůcky a prostředky využívané v edukaci pacientů s TSK. Poslední sekci teoretické části diplomové práce věnuji komplexnímu programu edukace těchto pacientů a problematice návaznosti péče a bezpečné dimise pacientů TS kanylou do domácího ošetřování. Empirická část diplomové práce je věnována problematice role sestry v edukaci pacientů s TSK, kterou mapuji prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumného šetření polostrukturovanými rozhovory se všeobecnými sestrami, které mají klinické zkušenosti a denně pracují s pacienty s dlouhodobým či trvalým zavedením TSK. Kvalitativní studie obsahuje 8 rozhovorů obsahově analyzovaných a následně zpracovaných do kategorií a subkategorií, které konstituují model realizace edukace pacientů s TS kanylou v klinické praxi před jejich dimisí. Stěžejním výsledkem realizovaného výzkumu bylo, že žádné z oslovených ZZ nerealizuje edukační program u pacientů s tracheostomickou kanylou. Výstupem diplomové práce do praxe je návrh edukační příručky pro sestry edukátorky a evaluační "checklist" nekomplikovaného převazu a výměny TSK.

Abstract:

In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis I deal with the field of education and the educational process in patients with TSK. I characterize the role of the educator nurse, the specifics of communication with patients with tracheostomy cannula, educational goals, didactic methods, aids and means used in the education of patients with TSK. The last section of the theoretical part of the diploma thesis is devoted to a comprehensive program of education of these patients and the issue of continuity of care and safe displacement of patients with a TS cannula for home care. The empirical part of the diploma thesis is devoted to the role of the nurse in the education of patients with TSK, which I map through a qualitative research survey with semi-structured interviews with general nurses who have clinical experience and work daily with patients with long-term or permanent introduction of TSK. The qualitative study contains 8 interviews content-analyzed and subsequently processed into categories and subcategories, which constitute a model for the implementation of education of patients with TS cannula in clinical practice before their size. The main result of the research was that none of the addressed health care providers implements an educational program for patients with a tracheostomy cannula. The output of the diploma thesis in practice is the design of an educational manual for nurse educators and an evaluation "checklist" of uncomplicated dressing and exchange of TSK.
