Cílem této bakalářské práce je vystižení postupné změny ekonomické situace Itálie v době, kdy republika využívala vlastní měnu - liru, a poté po začlenění do Evropské měnové unie, kdy přijala euro. Práce tedy bude rozebírat jednotlivá období hospodářského vývoje a na konci bude obsahovat zhodnocení, jestli přijetí eura italské ekonomice pomohlo nebo naopak. The objective of this thesis is to describe the gradual changes of the economic situation of Italy at time when Italy used its own currency - the lira, and then, after joining the European Monetary Union, when adopted the euro.
