The tax interrelationship between life insurance and pension insurance

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku zaměstnaneckých benefitů, předevšímv podobě příspěvků na soukromé životní pojištění a penzijní připojištění (doplňkovépenzijní spoření) a jejich daňových dopadů z pohledu zaměstnance a zaměstnavatele.V rámci praktické části jsou sestaveny tři komparační modely, kteréna základě odlišné výše příspěvku zaměstnavatele na doplňkové penzijní spořeníporovnávají, kolik musí sám zaměstnanec přispívat, aby jeho životní úroveň v doběstarobního důchodu byla na stanovené hranici. Dále se bakalářské práce zabývákomparací zvýšení mzdy v podobě peněžního příjmu a zvýšení mzdy formou příspěvkuna doplňkové penzijní spoření, tedy jako nepeněžní příjem. Na základě porovnáníjsou zkoumány osobní náklady zaměstnavatele, čistý příjem zaměstnancea odvody do státního rozpočtu (zdravotní a sociální pojištění). Na základě zjištěnýchskutečností jsou uvedeny návrhy pro daňovou optimalizaci základu daněve vazbě na starobní důchod.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with employee benefits, mainly as a contribution fromthe employer to the employee to his/her private life insurance and pension insuranceand the impact that this has on tax from the viewpoint of the employeeand the employer. The practical part introduces three models, which, based on thediffering amounts of the contribution of the employer towards the pension insurance,compare how much money the employee must add in order to achieve theplanned standard of living at the time he/she retires. It also gives a comparison ofan increase in the wage in the form of financial income and an increase in the wagein the form of a contribution towards the pension insurance, i.e. not as part of theactual wage but in the form of savings withdrawable upon the reaching retirementage. The comparison also outlines how much the employee costs the employer, thenet income of the employee and the payments to the state budget (i.e. social andhealth insurance). The findings reveal how to optimize the employee’s tax base inconnection with his/her retirement pension.
