Special education programs and its influence on formation self-esteem of adolescents with specific learning difficulties

Abstract:

Tato bakalářské práce se zabývá vlivem vzdělávacího programu, který je zaměřen na integraci dětí se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, na vývoj sebehodnocení adolescentů se specifickou poruchou učení. Nezabývá se však programem jako takovým, ale jeho konkrétní aplikací na vybrané základní škole. V kvantitativní části je zjišťována úroveň celkového sebehodnocení, sebehodnocení školní úspěšnosti a sociální akceptace žáků s SPU v porovnání s jejich spolužáky bez této poruchy. K tomuto měření byl použit dotazník S. Harterové (1985) Self-perception profile for children. Druhá, kvalitativní část byla realizována ve formě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se čtyřmi žáky s SPU. Cílem bylo zjistit, jak se žáci s SPU hodnotí v oblasti školní práce, jak se cítí v kolektivu spolužáků a jaká je jejich zkušenost s poruchou učení.

Abstract:

This bachelor paper describes the influence of the educational program, which is aimed at the integration of the children with special educational requirements, at the evolution of the self-esteem of the adolescents with the specific learning disorder. It is not concerned with the program itself, but with its particular application at the representative elementary school. The quantitative part establishes the level of the global self-esteem of the success at school and of the social acceptance of the pupils with SLD in comparison with their classmates without that disorder. For the measurements the question form by S. Harter (1985) Self-Perception for children has been used. The second part, the qualitative part, is realized in the form of semi-structured interviews with four pupils with SLD. The target was to find out how the pupils with SLD esteem themselves in the sphere of school work, how they feel in the group of their classmates and what are their experience with the learning disorder.
