Abstract:
Nádorový supresorový protein p53 reguluje expresi mnoha cílových genů, které se podílejí na kontrole buněčného cyklu, opravě DNA nebo apoptóze, čímž zamezuje vzniku nádorových onemocnění. Díky intenzivním studiím této molekuly došlo k objevení dvou příbuzných proteinů, p63 a p73, které se vyznačují vysokou sekvenční i strukturní podobností s proteinem p53. Abstract:
The p53 tumour suppressor regulates expression of many target genes which are involved in the cell cycle control, DNA repair or apoptosis, which enables p53 to prevent initiation of cancer. Due to intense studies of this molecule, two related proteins, p63 and p73, which share both sequential and structural similarity with p53 protein, have been discovered.
