Digital competence of primary school teachers unspecialized in ICT

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je empiricko-výzkumná. Je zaměřená na digitální kompetence učitelů základních škol, kteří současně nesplňují kvalifikační předpoklady pro výuku předmětů vzdělávací oblasti Informační a komunikační technologie. V moderní společnosti založené na informacích, znalostech a informačních technologiích je využívání prostředků informačních a komunikačních technologií ve vzdělávání nezbytné. Nutným předpokladem úspěchu jsou znalosti a dovednosti učitelů v jejich ovládání a smysluplném didaktickém a metodickém používání ve vyučovacím procesu. Teoretická část se věnuje problematice digitálních kompetencí učitelů a možnosti jejich stanovení pomocí testů ICT znalostí a dovedností. Ve výzkumné části je pak provedeno šetření pomocí eSkills testu a na základě výsledků tohoto šetření, jejich analýzy a teoretických poznatků navrženo doporučení ke zlepšení přípravy učitelů v oblasti využívání digitálních technologií.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is of the empirical research type. It focuses on the digital competence of primary school teachers, who are not qualified to teach subjects of instruction in the ICT Educational area (Information and communications technology). Modern society is based on information, knowledge and IT. Hence, using the means of information and communications technologies in the educational process is essential and inevitable. To succeed, teachers need to possess the knowledge and skillset to operate ICT. They need to use information technologies methodically and meaningfully in the didactic and educational process. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on the topic of digital competence of teachers and explores the possibility of the digital competence determination by means of specialised tests focused on ICT knowledge and skills. Surveying digital competence by the e-skills test was carried out in the practical (research) part of this thesis. Consequently based on the empirical data, the recommendations have been proposed to improve the primary school teachers training for use of digital technologies.
