The communication skills of clients of social care facility

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou komunikačních schopností dospělých osob se středně těžkým mentálním postižením, kteří jsou uživateli sociálních služeb. Práce je členěna na teoretickou a výzkumnou část. Teoretickou část práce tvoří tři kapitoly, jež jsou východiskem pro výzkumnou část. První kapitola se zabývá problematikou komunikace, vymezuje narušenou komunikační schopnost, charakterizuje jazykové roviny a symptomatické poruchy řeči. Druhá kapitola formuluje mentální postižení, zabývá se jeho možnými příčinami a charakterizuje jednotlivé klasifikace mentálního postižení. Třetí kapitola definuje dospělost, zabývá se osobností dospělého jedince s mentálním postižením a zařízeními poskytující sociální služby osobám se zdravotním postižením. Čtvrtá kapitola je praktickou částí diplomové práce. Výzkumné šetření mělo kvalitativní charakter s využitím technik zúčastněného pozorování, polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a analýzy výsledků činnosti.

Abstract:

This thesis analyzes the communication skills of adults with moderate intellectual disabilities who use social services. The work is divided into theoretical and research part. The theoretical part consists of three chapters, which are the basis for the research part. The first chapter deals with communication, defines the impaired communication ability, characterizes language levels and symptomatic speech. The second chapter formulates mental disability, discusses its possible causes and characterizes the classification of mental disability. The third chapter defines adulthood, it deals with the personality of an adult with mental disability, and facilities providing social services to handicaped people. The fourth chapter is a practical part of the thesis. This research was qualitative in nature using the techniques of participatory observation, semi-structured interview and analysis of results of operations.
