Graphite Pottery from Oppidum Staré Hradisko and Late La Tene Graphite Pottery at Moravia

Abstract:

Grafit byl využíván takřka v průběhu celého pravěku, nejvýrazněji však v době laténské. Tehdy tuha nalezla uplatnění především jako přísada do vytvářecího těsta při výrobě části keramických nádob. Ve vztahu k využití grafitu představuje jednu z nejdůležitějších oblastí ve střední Evropě Morava s početnými povrchovými výchozy grafitu, které se koncentrují podél její historické západní hranice. Archeologické nálezy, které bezpečně dokládají místní zpracování grafitu, popř. místní produkci grafitové keramiky v průběhu doby laténské, pocházejí minimálně z šesti/sedmi moravských lokalit. V souboru grafitové keramiky z oppida Staré Hradisko, který byl v rámci předložené disertační práce podroben analýze, bylo makroskopicky vyčleněno několik odlišných typů tuhových hmot, které byly následně konfrontovány s typologií okrajů nádob. Toto porovnání umožnilo definovat tři odlišné okruhy grafitové keramiky (okruh jižní Morava, okruh střední Morava, okruh severovýchodní Morava), k nimž bude v budoucnu možné připojit ještě několik dalších.

Abstract:

Graphite was exploited practically within all primeval age, most markedly in the La Tene period. Graphit has found along about that time its exercise mostly as an added substance into a clay raw material by the manufacturing of some pottery pots. One of the most important region in the Central Europe concerning an exploitation of Graphit represents Moravia with many surface blow-outs of Graphite, which are concentrated along its historical west boundary. Archeological finds supported for a certainty local treatment of Graphite, resp. local manufacturing of Graphite pottery within La Tčne period, come from for at least six/seven moravian localities. In the graphite pottery collection from Celtic oppidum Staré Hradisko, which has been subjected to analysis within the scope of submitted thesis, were grossly detached several different types of Graphite bodies. These Graphite bodies were subsequently faced with a typology of pots randoms. This confrontation has given a possibility to define three different areas of Graphite pottery (area South Moravia, area Central Moravia, area North-East Moravia) to which will be possible to connect for the next few in the future.
