Experience of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder with early intervention from the perspective of parents in a chosen social service organisation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na rodiny dětí s poruchou autistického spektra. Práce se zabývá očekáváním rodin na počátku spolupráce s vybranou ranou péčí a jejich aktuálními zkušenostmi. V první kapitole teoretické části se věnuji rodinám dětí s postižením či poruchou a specifikům těchto rodin. V druhé kapitole definuji poruchu autistického spektra, etiologii a diagnostiku této poruchy. Zmiňuji zde možnost kombinovaného postižení, kdy se porucha autistického spektra může sdružovat s kteroukoli jinou poruchou a postižením. V poslední části teoretické části charakterizuji službu rané péče a blíže popisuji ranou péči Motýl v Plzeňském kraji. Ve výzkumné části provádím polostrukturované rozhovory s rodinami a analýzu dokumentů. V práci předkládám nasbíraná data za pomoci kvalitativního způsobu zkoumání, uvádím návrhy, doporučení a zodpovídám výzkumné otázky.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on families with children suffering from autism spectrum disorder. The thesis deals with the expectations of those families in the beginning of a cooperation with a chosen early care and the families current experiences. The first chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to families with children who are disabled or have a disorder, and specifics of these families. In the second chapter I define what autism spectrum disorder, etiology, and diagnosis of this disorder means. I also mention the possibility of combined disorder, where the autism spectrum disorder can combine with any other disorder or disability. In the last part of the theoretical part I characterize the early care service and describe in more detail the early care service in Motýl in Plzeň region. In this thesis I present data I gathered with help of the qualitative method of research, I present recommendations, suggestions and I answer the research questions.
