Basel III - Analysis of the impact on banks in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá regulací obchodních bank a dopadem nových pravidel Basel III do kapitálu bank. Nejprve specifikuje podstatu podnikání. Dále popíše historický vývoj Basilejských dohod a podrobně charakterizuje poslední dohodu Basel III. Práce rozebere jednotlivé kroky vybraných bank k dosažení potřebné kapitálové přiměřenosti tak, aby byla v souladu s Basel III.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the regulation of commercial banks and the impact of the new Basel III rules on bank's capital. First, it specifies the nature of the bank business. Further, it describes historical development of Basel agreements and characterizes the Basel III agreement in detail. The thesis breaks down the steps of the selected bank to achieve the required capital adequacy in order to be in line with Basel III.
