The participation of social work in solving the conflict, resulting from different social and hygienic standards of various groups of inhabitants in a problematic location

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá konflikty, které řeší sociální práce v problémových lokalitách mezi dvěma etnickými skupinami obyvatel. Je rozdělená na teoretickou a empirickou část. V teoretické části je práce zaměřena na popis sociálního vyloučení i sociálně vyloučených míst, s ohledem na výzkum, který se v sociálně vyloučené lokalitě konal. Dále jsou v práci definovány faktory sociálního vyloučení. Druhá kapitola popisuje Romy jako etnikum, jejich historii, pro lepší pochopení některých jejich zvyklostí, jejich život, tradice a hodnoty. Třetí kapitola se zabývá pojmem konflikt a na konci teoretické části se zabývá sociální prací. Druhá, výzkumná část, popisuje kvalitativní výzkum, který byl k řešení dané problematiky užit. Je zde popsána metodologie výzkumu, stanovený cíl, metoda a strategie výzkumu, průběh daného výzkumu, analýzy a celkový závěr.

Abstract:

The thesis concerns itself with the conflicts between two ethnic groups in the Czech population (Romani and Czech) which the social workers deal with in the problematic regions and is split into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part focuses on the explanation of the social exclusion as well as the excluded localities themselves, while considering the research that took place in theses localities. Furthermore, the thesis defines the factors contributing to the social exclusion and specifically the second chapter portrays the Romani as an ethnic group with their history, customs, lifestyle, traditions and values. Third chapter deals with the concept of conflict and the involvement of social workers. Second part of the thesis outlines the qualitative research I undertook to address the issue of the social exclusion of the Romani as an ethnic group and defines the thesis? goals, research methodology and strategies, leading towards the analysis and conclusion.
