Use of technical aids which improve communication skills of children with cerebral palsy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá využitím technických pomůcek při rozvoji komunikačních dovedností u dětí s mozkovou obrnou. Cílem práce bylo zhodnotit možnosti využití technických pomůcek, analyzovat úskalí související s jejich používáním, posoudit přínos počítačových programů a analyzovat zdroje informací o technických pomůckách. Teoretická část se věnuje vymezení syndromu mozkové obrny, popisuje řeč dětí s mozkovou obrnou a charakterizuje technické pomůcky, které jsou používány v rámci rehabilitace osob s mozkovou obrnou. Výzkumné šetření mělo kvantitativní charakter a sběr dat byl proveden pomocí techniky dotazníku. Respondenti byli z řad logopedů působících ve speciálních mateřských a základních školách nebo logopedi ze speciálně-pedagogických center, které mají v péči děti s mozkovou obrnou. V závěru práce jsou zhodnoceny výsledky šetření a navrženy opatření pro speciálně-pedagogickou praxi.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the use of technical aids which improve communication skills of children with cerebral palsy. The aim was to evaluate possibilities of use of technical aids, analyze difficulties associated with their use, analyze information sources and review the benefits of computer programs. In the theoretical part is explained the definition of cerebral palsy syndrome, described specifics of speech of children with cerebral palsy. In this part is also mentioned assistive technology that is used for the rahabilitation of persons with cerebral palsy. The survey was quantitative and data were collected by questionnaire. Among respondents were speech therapist from special nursery and primary schools and educators from special-education centres, where they take care about children with cerebral palsy. In this part of thesis are evaluated results of survey and suggested measures for special-education practice.
