Tato diplomová práce se zabývá protektorátní aktivistickou organizací Veřejná osvětová služba. V práci je popsána problematika státní osvěty a její vývoj od vzniku Československé republiky až po zřízení Veřejné osvětové služby na jaře roku 1943.
