Development of communication skills of preschool aged children in regular kindergarten and in Montessori kindergarten

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem "Rozvoj komunikačních schopností u dětí v předškolním věku v běžné mateřské škole a mateřské škole Montessori" se zaměřuje na komparaci běžných mateřských škol a Montessori mateřských škol v kontextu rozvoje komunikačních schopností a eliminace nežádoucích řečových vad u dětí v předškolním věku. Teoretická část práce se zabývá definicí předškolního období, vývojem dětské řeči a komunikačními schopnostmi dětí v této fázi. Zahrnuje také principy Montessori pedagogiky a popis Montessori metody. V praktické části je použito kvalitativního výzkumu, který se opírá o analýzu deseti polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s pedagogy z vybraných mateřských škol obou typů. Data z rozhovorů jsou vyhodnocena pomocí otevřeného a axiálního kódování. Hlavním cílem práce je komparace způsobu rozvoje komunikačních schopností u dětí v předškolním věku v běžné mateřské škole a v mateřské škole Montessori z pohledu pedagogů. Výsledkem práce je poskytnutí uceleného pohledu na rozdíly mezi běžnými mateřskými školami a Montessori mateřskými školami v oblasti komunikace a řečového vývoje dětí. Práce poskytuje doporučení pro pedagogy a další odborníky v oblasti vzdělávání předškolních dětí a nabízí perspektivu pro další výzkum a zdokonalení v této oblasti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis entitled as "Development of communication skills in preschool children in a regular kindergarten and a Montessori kindergarten" focuses on the comparison of regular kindergartens and Montessori kindergartens in the context of the development of communication skills and the elimination of undesirable speech defects in preschool children. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the definition of the preschool period, the development of children's speech and communication skills of children at this stage. It also includes the principles of Montessori pedagogy and a description of the Montessori method. The practical part uses qualitative research, which is based on the analysis of ten semi-structured interviews with teachers from selected kindergartens of both types. The interview data are analysed using open and axial coding. The main aim of the thesis is to compare the development of communication skills in preschool children in a regular kindergarten and in a Montessori kindergarten from the perspective of teachers.As a result, the thesis provides a comprehensive view of the differences between regular kindergartens and Montessori kindergartens in the field of communication and speech development of children. The thesis provides recommendations for educators and other professionals in the field of preschool education and offers a perspective for further research and improvement in this area.
