Determinants of financial performance in the microbrewery sector

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá determinanty ovlivňující finanční výkonnost malých pivovarů v České republice. Úvodní část je zaměřena na vysvětlení dané problematiky, zejména ukazatele ekonomická přidaná hodnota (EVA). Dále následuje stručná charakteristika odvětví pivovarnictví, historický vývoj minipivovarů a srovnání s vývojem v jiných zemí Evropské unie. V praktické části je na základě účetních výkazů provedena finanční analýza s důrazem na výkonnostní ukazatele a pomocí regresní analýzy identifikace klíčových faktorů, které ovlivňují výkonnost podniků v sektoru minipivovarů.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis analyses determinants influencing financial performance of microbreweries in the Czech Republic. Introduction explains the theoretical framework, especially the indicator of economic value added (EVA). Next chapter briefly deals with brewery characteristics, historical development of microbreweries and comparison with other European Union countries. The practical part of the thesis is based on financial statements a financial analysis is performed mainly on performance indicators and in order to use regression analysis to identify key factors that affect performance of companies in the microbrewery sector.
