Various Interpretations of the Asian Financial Crisis

Abstract:

Účelem této bakalářské práce je porovnat a analyzovat náhledy různých ekonomických škol na asijskou finanční krizi, která proběhla v druhé polovině 90. let minulého století. Práce je rozdělena na několik částí. První část je zaměřena na ekonomické pozadí zemí před vypuknutím krize. Druhá část se zaobírá příčinami krize. Vývoj krize v jednotlivých zemích a následné porovnání je popsáno v části třetí. Čtvrtá část je zaměřena na pomoc MMF. Poslední části zahrnují různé pohledy na asijskou finanční krizi, ze kterých plynou jejich hospodářsko-politická doporučení.

Abstract:

Goal of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the view of different schools of economic thoughts on Asian financial crisis, which took place in the second half of the 90s of the last century. Thesis is divided into several parts. The first part focuses on economic back-ground of the countries before crisis. The second part deals with causes of crisis. The de-velopment of the crisis in individual countries and the subsequent comparison are de-scribed in third part. The fourth part is focused on IMF assistance. The last sections in-clude various perspectives on the Asian financial crisis along with their economic and political recommendations.
