Kladno at the time of creation of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia
Abstract:
Cílem práce je přiblížit život Kladna v době vzniku Protektorátu Čechy a Morava, osvětlit aféru Jana Smudka, její dopad na kladenské obyvatelstvo a objasnit okolnosti vraždy německého strážmistra Wilhelma Kniesta. Současně se práce zabývá protiněmeckým odbojem v prvním období okupace v Kladně.
Abstract:
The aim of the thesis is to bring life in Kladno at the time of creation of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia closer, to elucidate Jan Smudek's case, its impact on Kladno inhabitants and to clear up circumstances of the murder of a German police officer, Wilhelm Kniest. At the same time, the thesis deals with anti-German resistance in the first period of occupation in Kladno.
