Overtourism in the Area of The Giant Mountains with a Focus on KRNAP

Abstract:

BÁRTOVÁ, Anna. Overturismus v oblasti Krkonoš se zaměřením na KRNAP [Bakalářská práce] University College Prague – Vysoká škola mezinárodních vztahů a Vysoká škola hotelová a ekonomická. Praha: 2023. Počet stran 70. Bakalářská práce je věnována vlivu cestovního ruchu na oblast Krkonoš, zejména pak na Krkonošský národní park. Cestovní ruch v této oblasti za poslední léta přerostl v overturismus, a jedná se tak především o negativní vlivy. První část práce je věnována teoretickým pojmům, které s problematikou overturismu souvisí. Je zde vysvětlen pojem cestovní ruch, overturismus, udržitelný cestovní ruch, ale také životní cyklus destinace či únosná kapacita destinace. Zmíněny jsou tu také formy udržitelného cestovního ruchu. Analytická část je pak věnována předpokladům cestovního ruchu v této oblasti, infrastruktuře cestovního ruchu dané destinace či aktivitám, kterým se tu návštěvníci mohou věnovat. V souvislosti s cestovním ruchem je zde kapitola věnována návštěvnosti Krkonoš a parku. Další kapitolou jsou opatření na ochranu přírody, která Správa KRNAP již zavedla. Nedílnou součástí jsou pak konkrétní projevy overturismu v této destinaci. V rámci analytické části byl také proveden rozhovor a dotazníkové šetření. Poslední část práce je věnována konkrétním návrhům, které by mohly dopady overturismu zmírnit či odstranit.

BÁRTOVÁ, Anna. Overtourism in the Giant Mountains with a Focus on KRNAP [Bachelor’s Dissertation] University College Prague – College of International Relations and Institute of Hospitality Management and Economics. Prague: 2023. Pages 70. The bachelor dissertation is devoted to the influence of tourism on the Krkonoše Mountains and especially on the Krkonoše National Park. Tourism in this area has grown into overtourism in recent years, and it is mainly about negative impacts. The first part of the dissertation is devoted to the theoretical concepts related to the issue of overtourism. It explains the concept of tourism, overtourism, sustainable tourism, but also the destination life cycle or the carrying capacity of a destination. Forms of sustainable tourism are also mentioned. The analytical part is then devoted to the prerequisites for tourism in the area, the tourism infrastructure of the destination or the activities that visitors can engage in. In the context of tourism, there is a chapter on the number of visitors visiting the Giant Mountains and the park. Another chapter deals with nature protection measures already implemented by the KRNAP Administration. An integral part of the chapter is the specific impacts of overtourism in this destination. An interview and a questionnaire survey were also conducted as part of the analytical part. The last part of the dissertation is devoted to specific proposals that could mitigate or eliminate the impacts of overtourism.
