Possibilities for education of children with ASD

Abstract:

Výchova a vzdělávání dětí s poruchami autistického spektra je složitá. Jde o vrozené postižení mozkových funkcí na neuro-vývojovém podkladě. Důsledkem tohoto postižení je, že člověk nedokáže přiměřeně komunikovat, je omezen v navazování sociálních vztahů a v rozvíjení fantazie a kreativity. V bakalářské práci jsem se zabývala zjištěním, jaké mohou být možnosti výchovy a vzdělávání dětí, které mají poruchu autistického spektra. V první části práce, teoretické, jsem pomocí studia odborných pramenů popsala a objasnila základní pojmy z oblasti individuálních potřeb, schopností a deficitů dětí s poruchou autistického spektra, popsala jsem autismus a jeho diagnostiku, vysvětlila jsem symptomy autismu a charakteristiky autistických potíží. Ve výkladu této části své práce jsem uvedla možnosti vzdělávání dětí s poruchami autistického spektra, seznámila jsem se se specifiky práce s těmito žáky a s typickými projevy chování žáků s poruchami autistického spektra. Další výklad byl zaměřen na nácvik přiměřeného sociálního chování a sociálně komunikačních dovedností podle odborníků, dále jak může probíhat výchova a vzdělávací intervence a jaké mohou být možnosti směřující k nápravě nevhodného chování těchto dětí. V praktické části bakalářské práce jsem se pomocí dotazníkového šetření snažila zjistit, jaké metody výchovy a vzdělávání dětí s poruchami autistického spektra jsou využívány v základních školách. Dotazník byl určen pedagogům vybraných základních škol, kteří ve svých třídách mají žáka s poruchou autistického spektra.

Abstract:

The upbringing and education of children with autism spectrum disorders is complex. It is a congenital disorder of brain functions on a neurodevelopmental basis. The consequence of this disability is that a person is unable to communicate adequately, he is limited in establishing social relationships and in developing imagination and creativity. In my bachelor's thesis, I focused on finding out what the possibilities of upbringing and education of children with autism spectrum disorder may be. In the first part of the thesis, in the theoretical part, I described and clarified the basic concepts of individual needs, abilities and deficits of children with autism spectrum disorder, described autism and its diagnosis, explained the symptoms of autism and the characteristics of autistic problems. In the interpretation of this part of my work, I presented the possibilities of educating children with autism spectrum disorders, I got acquainted with the specifics of working with these students and with the typical manifestations of behavior of students with autism spectrum disorders. Another explanation was focused on the training of appropriate social behavior and social communication skills according to experts, as well as how education and training interventions can take place, and what can be the possibilities to correct inappropriate behavior of these children. In the practical part of the bachelor's thesis, I used a questionnaire survey to find out what methods of education and training of children with autism spectrum disorders are used in primary schools. The questionnaire was intended for teachers of selected primary schools who have a pupil with an autism spectrum disorder in their classes.
