Role of Health and Social Worker in Working with People Affected by Alzheimer´s Disease

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá sociální prací v sociálním zařízení a v psychiatrické nemocnici. Cílem práce je zjistit, jakou roli zaujímá zdravotně sociální pracovník při práci s lidmi s Alzheimerovou chorobou. Dalším cílem je tuto roli porovnat v domově se zvláštním režimem a v psychiatrické nemocnici. Teoretická část se zabývá problematikou demence cílené na Alzheimerovu chorobu, teoretickým portfoliem poskytování zdravotní, sociální, domácí a ústavní péčí v pobytových sociálních a zdravotnických zařízeních jako jsou domovy pro seniory, domovy se zvláštním režimem, psychiatrické nemocnice, léčebny dlouhodobě nemocných, aj. Představuje historii sociální práce, definuje zdravotně sociálního a sociálního pracovníka, srovnává náplň práce zdravotně sociálního a sociálního pracovníka a jejich kompetence a zamýšlí se nad dodržováním etického kodexu při poskytování zdravotně sociální práce klientům. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na analýzu dat, která byla zjištěna pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu, s využitím techniky polostrukturovaných rozhovorů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with social work in a social facility and in psychiatric hospital. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out what role the health and social worker occupy when working with people effected by Alzheimer´s disease. The next goal is compare this role in a home with a special regime with the same role in a psychiatric hospital. The theoretical part deals with Alzheimer's disease, the theoretical portfolioof provision of heath, social, home and institutional care in residential social and health care facilities such as homes for the elderly, homes with a special regime, psychiatric hospitals, long-term care hospitals etc. Presents the history of social work, defines a health and social worker, compares the job description of a health and social worker and their competencies, and considers compliance with the Code of Ethics in providing health and social work to clients. The practical part focuses on the analysis of data found through qualitative research, using semi-structured interviews.
