Death and Dying from the Perspective of Social Service Workers in the Zlín Region

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci se zaměříme na přístupy a názory pracovníků v sociálních službách k smrti a umírání. Toto téma je v dnešní době často tabuizováno a smrt se chápe jenom jako odchod bezvýznamných lidí za oponou v nemocnici. Avšak pracovníci v sociálních službách se s těmito jevy pravidelně setkávají, přičemž má tato skutečnost na jejich život znač-ný vliv. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části se seznámíme s tématy smrti, umírání, paliativní péče, eutanázie a syndromu vyhoření. V praktické části se poté budeme věnovat výzkumu, který jsem realizoval s pracovníky v sociálních službách.

Abstract:

This bachelor theses is focused on attitudes and opinions of workers in social services towards death and dying. This topic is tabooed and death is understood only as a exit of insignificant people at a hospital behind the veil. Nevertheless workers in social services are daily in situations matched with those phenomena while it influences their life conside-rably. The bachelor theses is devided into two parts. First is theoretical and second is empi-rical. In theoretical part we will be acquainted with topics as death, dying, paliative care, euthanasia and burn out effect. In empirical part we will be acquainted with research I did with workers in social sercices
