Inclination of workers in socially excluded locality to paradigms of social work

Abstract:

Cílem práce je studovat inklinaci pracovníků, pomáhajících klientům v prostředí sociálně vyloučené lokality ve vybraném městě, k paradigmatům sociální práce. Paradigmata, vytvořená Malcolmem Paynem, představují tři různé pohledy na sociální práci jako takovou. V bakalářské práci jsem využívám kvalitativní výzkum a metodu polo-strukturovaných rozhovorů, abych stanovila, k jakým paradigmatům mají pracovníci tendenci inklinovat a také jaké pohledy ve své práci opomíjí. Záměrem práce je zjistit, jakým způsobem by mohly být poskytované služby ve dvou zkoumaných organizacích rozšířeny a zkvalitněny. V první části práce se nacházejí teoretické informace, související s tématem sociálního vyloučení. Definuji zde proto pojmy sociální vyloučení, sociální práce, práce se sociálně vyloučenými klienty a paradigmata sociální práce. V metodologické části je popsán samotný postup provedení výzkumu, jehož výsledky jsou interpretovány ve třetí části práce. V závěru práce jsou uvedena doporučení pro praxi, která z výzkumu vyplynula, a která nabízí možnosti pro zkvalitnění poskytovaných služeb.

Abstract:

The aim of the work is to study the inclination of the workers who are assisting clients in socially excluded localities in the town to the paradigms of social work. The paradigms, created by Malcolm Payne, represent three different perspectives on social work. In the thesis I have used a qualitative research and semi-structured interviews to determine to which of the paradigms the workers tend to incline and what perspectives of their work they neglect. The intention of the diploma thesis is to determine how the services in the two surveyed organizations could be expanded and improved. The first part of the thesis offers theoretical information related to the topic of social exclusion. It defines the concepts of social exclusion, social work, the work with socially excluded clients, and the paradigms of social work. The methodological part describes the research process whose results are interpreted in the third part. The conclusion of the thesis presents recommendations for practice that have emerged from the research and that offer opportunities to enhance the quality of the provided services.
