EU as a "Norm Maker" - case of protection of personal data
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá rozšiřováním normy vytvořené Evropskou Unií na mezinárodní úrovni v oblasti ochrany osobních údajů. Zkoumá, jak EU postupuje při prosazování své normy vůči ostatním státům a jak na normu reagují třetí státy. Na základě studie vybraných případů se snaží zjistit, zda se Evropské Unii daří konkrétní normu prosazovat vůči třetím státům.
Abstract:
This thesis focuses on diffusion of norm produced by European Union in the area of data protection on international level. It examines how does European Union proceed within promotion of its norm against other states and how these states react on the norm.
