The Analysis of the Primary School Teachers Attitudes to Inclusive Education

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá konceptem inkluzivního vzdělávání a přístupem učitelů k tomuto konceptu. První tři kapitoly jsou tvořeny teoretickou částí diplomové práce. První kapitola je zaměřena na vymezení pojmu inkluze a integrace, historický vývoj inkluzivního vzdělávání, vývoj přístupu ke vzdělávání žáků se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami a dokumenty, které zásadně ovlivnily vznik a vývoj inkluzivního vzdělávání. Dále tato kapitola vymezuje současné pojetí inkluzivního vzdělávání v České republice i v zahraničí. Druhá kapitola se zabývá legislativním vymezením inkluzivního vzdělávání rámci mezinárodních dokumentů i na úrovni České republiky. V rámci České republiky se druhá kapitola věnuje také vymezení žáka se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami a podmínkám pro jeho vzdělávání. Třetí kapitola pojednává o učiteli v inkluzivním prostředí, věnuje se postojům pedagogů k inkluzivnímu vzdělávání podle dosavadních výzkumů, učitelské profesi a roli učitele ve vzdělávacím procesu. Dále je zde vymezena funkce asistenta pedagoga.Čtvrtá kapitola je tvořena praktickou částí diplomové práce. Náplní praktické části je kvantitativní výzkum, k jehož realizaci bylo využito dotazníkového šetření. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jaký je postoj učitelů prvního stupně základních škol k inkluzivními vzdělávání.

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with the concept of inclusive education and teachers´ attitudes to this kind of concept. The first three chapters represent the theoretical part of the master thesis. The first chapter is focused on specifying the terms of inclusion and integration, history of the inclusive education, chenges of approaches to educating children with special needs through history, and on documents that had a significant impact on birth and development of the concept of inclusive education. It also deals with the current concept of inclusion in Czech Republic and abroad as well. The second chapter determines the framework of legislation related to educating children with special needs in international documents and in Czech Republic. Within the framework of Czech Republic this chapter specifies a learner with special needs and the conditions for his education. The third chapter deals with the teacher in the inclusive environment. It describes teachers´ attitudes to inclusive education from current researches, defines the teachers´ profession and their roles in the process of inclusive education. The function of the teacher´s assistant is defined here as well. The fourth chapter is the practical part of the master thesis. This part is based on a quantitative research, realized through a questionnaire survey. The main aim of this master thesis was to detect what are the attitudes of lower primary teachers towards the concept of inclusive education.
