Language and communicative competence of pupils with mental disability

Abstract:

Komunikace a řeč jsou jednou z charakteristických vlastností člověka. U osob s mentálním postižením je ale komunikace často podceňována a jejím obtížím není přikládán dostatečný význam. Ve své bakalářské práci jsem se zaměřila právě na jazykovou a komunikační kompetenci žáků s mentálním postižením. V první kapitole teoretické části své práce se zabývám žákem se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, podrobněji pak žákem s mentálním postižením. Popisuji zde pojem mentální postižení či retardace a uvádím klasifikaci a etiologii mentální retardace. Druhá kapitola je věnována ontogenetickému vývoji řeči, jeho etapám podle různých autorů a specifikům řečového vývoje u žáků s mentálním postižením. Třetí kapitola teoretické části popisuje možnosti vzdělávání žáků s mentálním postižením. Vyjmenovávám zde a blíže popisuji školy věnující se základnímu vzdělávání žáků s mentálním postižením. Dále se zde věnuji rámcovému vzdělávacímu programu, konkrétně jeho příloze pro vzdělávání žáků s lehkým mentálním postižením. V závěru teoretické části nastiňuji možnosti integrace a inkluze žáků s mentálním postižením. Výzkumné šetření mé bakalářské práce je věnováno jazykovým a komunikativním kompetencím doporučeným rámcovým vzdělávacím programem pro první období prvního stupně základní školy praktické. Ty jsou zde porovnávány s reálnými schopnostmi dětí.

Abstract:

The communication and the speech is one of the characteristic qualities of a human. In case of persons with mental disability is communication underestimated very often and we don´t attribute an importance to its difficulties. In my bachelor thesis I focused on language and communicative competence of pupils with mental disability. In the first chapter of theoretical part of my thesis I engage in pupil with special educational needs, in detail in pupil with mental disability. I describe here the term mental disability and mention the classification and the etiology of mental disability. The second chapter is devoted to ontogenetic evolution of the speech, it´s periods and specifics of speech evolution of pupils with mental disability according to different authors. The third chapter of theoretical part describes a way of education for the pupils with mental disability. I enumerate and subscribe here schools devoted for elementary education of pupils with mental disorder. Then I devote to framework education programme, especially to its accompaniment for education of pupils with minor mental disorder. In the end of the theoretical part I outline the way of the integration and the inclusion of pupils with mental disorder. The research of my bachelor thesis is devoted to language and communicative competence recommended by framework education programme for the first three grades of elementary school for children with minor mental disorder. I compare these with real abilities of children.
