Poverty and Immigration in Michael Gold's Jews Without Money
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis focuses on the depiction of poverty and immigration in Michael Gold's autobiographical novel Jews Without Money. It explains necessary historical and political background and defines the author and his work in the appropriate literary context. Main part of this thesis is the analytical section, which reflects on the poverty and immigration as it is depicted in Gold's book.
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na zobrazení chudoby a imigrace v autobiografickém románu Židé bez Peněz od autora Michaela Golda. Práce vysvětluje potřebné historické a politické pozadí a definuje autora a jeho dílo v odpovídajícím literárním kontextu. Hlavní částí této práce je analytický segment, který reflektuje chudobu a imigraci, jak je zobrazená v Goldově díle.
